PSYCH SLUMBER PARTY

We knew Psych fans were hardcore, but could we get them to stay up all night, watching episodes that they'd already seen? Absolutely.

We helped fans plan their own slumber/viewing parties and encouraged them to contribute to the main event with tweets, photos and video shout-outs, some of which were shown on air.

As an extra incentive to stay up, we wanted to reward fans with some exclusive Psych content they HADN'T seen before. So we wrote a series of wraps and bumpers to air over the course of the night, chronologically following the Psych gang's own slumber party. (It was also a great excuse to write our own mini Psych episode!)

The night was an overwhelming success with a 41% ratings uptick among viewers 18-34 compared to the prior four weeks. Not bad for old episodes airing in the middle of the night!

And with 172K social media mentions and 12 trending twitter hashtags (8 domestic and 4 global), we set a record high for a USA original series in social media activity and outperformed the day's top broadcast show by 327% (!) in social media mentions.

AND a couple weeks later, the show returned with a 22% 18-49 ratings increase over the previous season’s premiere, pretty much unheard of for show entering its 7th season.
