Josh, briefly.
Josh spent his formative years in Denmark, which left him with a taste for Scandinavian socialism and Danish pastries.
He majored in philosophy and psychology at Oxford, which left him with little desire to be a philosopher or psychologist.
Moving to New York, he failed to become an indie-folk-rock god, which left him with no option but to sell his body or mind.
Fortunately for everyone involved, he opted for the latter.

Josh speaks fluent Danish, which comes in handy about as often as one would imagine.

He rarely refers to himself in the third person in person.

Developing, managing and overseeing brand campaigns for Viaplay streaming service in core Nordic markets as well as launch campaigns in new expansion territories, including the Baltics and Netherlands.

Creative lead of team responsible for creating trailers, promos, imagery and other content to promote network programming and branding across on-air, digital, social and out-of-home media. Duties include:
• Developing overarching creative strategy to inform marketing campaigns across all platforms.
• Guiding the creative process of team and vendors, incl. concepting, scripting, production and editorial.
• Presenting work to senior leadership and external partners; manage showrunner- and talent-relationships

2014–2017Editorial Director, Creative @ USA Network (NBCUniversal), NYC
As Editorial Director, I took on CD responsibilities for a number of shows, while also working with other CDs and writers to ensure that their promos were tonally on-brand for shows. I also shaped the network’s new editorial voice as part of a rebrand during this period.

2011–2014Senior Copywriter @ USA Network (NBCUniversal), NYC
Looking for a change, I moved client-side to work in-house for the country's #1 cable network, promoting both original and acquired series on USA and its short-lived sister network CLOO. (I even got to coin a tagline for the latter: go figure.)
Responsibilities: writing scripts, producing spots, overseeing shoots and post-production.

This is I where learned the ins and outs of the ad business, working on everything from fast food to finance to foosball. Clients included Wendy’s, Mohegan Sun, Panasonic, Don Julio Tequila, Fruit2day, Louisiana Pacific, CIT, and more.

My first job in advertising was at Green Team, a small NYC agency specializing in environmentally responsible and socially progressive brands, cause-related marketing and travel..
